Fuel Ping (“we”, “us”) is a community-driven fuel price and station finder for Nigeria. You can use the website at fuelping.com and the Fuel Ping mobile app.

We only collect what we need to run the service:

• Location. If you allow it, we use your approximate or precise location to show nearby stations, detect your state, and prompt a price update when you are close to a station. You can deny location access and still browse stations by selecting a state.
• Profile details you choose to add. A nickname or username, and optional social handles (TikTok, X, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram). These help credit you on the community leaderboard.
• Contributions. Fuel prices you report, the station, time of the report, and optionally a photo of a price board.
• Search and usage. Station searches and basic in-app activity so we can improve results (for example, when a search finds no station).
• Waitlist email. If you join the fuel-delivery waitlist, we store the email address you submit so we can notify you at launch.
• Device storage. An anonymous ID, your selected state, and profile details may be saved on your device so the app remembers you.

We do not require an account to browse prices, and we do not sell your personal data.

• Show nearby stations and current prices
• Credit community price updates and weekly contributors
• Improve search, station coverage, and the reliability of prices
• Email you only if you joined the delivery waitlist
• Keep the service secure and prevent abuse

Price reports and public nicknames may appear in the app so other drivers can trust an update. We use service providers to host the app, store data, and (when you allow location) geocode coordinates via mapping services such as Google Maps. We do not sell personal information to advertisers.

We keep contribution and station data for as long as it is useful to the community (recent prices matter; old ones are replaced). Waitlist emails are kept until the service launches or you ask us to remove them. You can clear locally stored profile data by clearing the app or browser storage.

Fuel Ping is for people looking up fuel prices. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

If we update this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new “last updated” date.
